War is Boring (2018) – Republished in The National Interest (2018)

This article provides an account of the last battle of the Second World War to take place on European soil – finally ending 16 days after most of the continent’s population celebrated VE Day. The battle took place around the town of Odžak, in present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina, and was fought between some units of Tito’s Partisans and the remnants of the armed forces of the Independent State of Croatia. After originally being published in War is Boring, the article was picked up by The National Interest.
